There are many simple yet easily missed,  things you can do to make your rental housing more sustainable without consent from your landlord. Here are just a few tips

Install a thermostat

Installing a thermostat is the best wat to achieve energy efficiency in a home that you don’t own.

Not only can you save on your energy bills, but you can avoid wasting energy by being able to regulate the temperature of your home with ease.

Change your lightbulbs

Changing your lightbulbs to more eco-friendly ones means that you will be able to again save money on your energy bills, but more importantly, less energy (created by coal-burning) is used, thus saving you money as well as saving the environment.

Take more care of your appliances

By simply cleaning your appliances, such as your fridge, you can become a more energy-efficient tenant.

Appliances need to be taken care of, when the start to be come run down due to lack of care, they become less energy efficient. It doesn’t take a lot to be careful, yet it saves a lot of money and energy.

Watch your water usage
